Purpose of Test
Along with the red ones your blood contains white blood cells as well which are called as Eosinophil. AEC is the test which helps your doctor to count the number of white blood cells present in your blood, as their high number is the invitation to various allergic conditions, diseases and infections.
NORMAL TEST RESULTS
The normal results many a times varies from patient to patient and disease to disease. Hence, you are advised to consult a doctor to know about your specific test results. Generally, if it is found that you have less than 500 cells per microlitre then you are in a safe condition.
Reasons Behind Abnormal Results
Your abnormal test result states the following reasons which are responsible to produce it:-
- Fatal leukemia-like condition, which is rare may be a reason behind your abnormal results. It occurs due to hypereosinophilic syndrome.
- Parasite infection is also a reason behind this abnormal eosinophilic condition.
- You may be suffering from some kind of allergic disease if you get abnormal results after this test.

This test also ensures the common and normal procedure of piercing your hand through a needle, taking out the blood sample and examining the blood sample in the laboratory under the observation of expert to know the result. The blood is usually taken out from your elbow or behind your hand.
