Purpose of Test
The liver of our body is an extremely important component of our digestive and respiratory system and hence it needs to function properly. This test is performed in order to check the liver functioning and to see if the liver is free from any kind of damage or inflammation. Hence, it is an important test to be performed.
NORMAL TEST RESULTS
Screening test means that according to the age, sex and gender few things should remain as calculated. If the results matches with the pre-calculated values then the results are said to be normal.

How Test Performed
This test is performed by taking the blood sample of a patient through venipuncture and then examining it in the lab through screening test. Few medications may alter the result due to which the patient may be asked to avoid few medicines before the test or may be asked to fast.
