Purpose of Test
C-reactive protein is a type of protein which is highly reactive and may result in serious inflammatory actions inside the body. This test is performed in order to calculate the level of this highly sensitive and reactive protein. A high CRP level may bring inflammation in your heart as well, hence it is an important test to be performed.
NORMAL TEST RESULTS
The results are said to be normal if the measured level of C-reactive protein is less than 1.0 mg/L. Higher level than this may risk several heart diseases.
